Apps section

This tab stores all the connections to your accounts in other apps.

In order for integrations to work, you will need to grant Albato access to the account of the app to be interacted with.

By Connections we mean creating a connection between your workspace of the connecting app and Albato. For example, you want to transfer leads from a form. To do this, you need to grant Albato access to your account that hosts the form to collect the leads.

Access rights

It is important to connect the account with the rights that are needed for the correct operation of the integration. For example, you need to create and update leads in the CRM. So connect such a CRM account, where the rights to create and update leads are not limited. It is also important to remember that changing the rights of the account, after creating a connection, can lead to errors in the automation. Therefore, we recommend connecting accounts with full permissions right away, as scenarios can change when creating integrations and may need to create a transaction, not a lead.

Accesses to partner accounts are created and located on the Apps section. Here you can always go back and see which app is already connected, its details, you can rename or delete the connection, etc.

You can connect an app before creating an automation or right from the Automation builder. If you are planning to connect a lot of different partners, you can add them all through the Apps section first, and then configure automations.

If you need to connect multiple accounts for the same app, you can easily do so. A limitation here may be the Albato plan.

But there is a way - the "Additional connections" option.
Additional connections are paid for through the Billing section.
Send a request to the technical support to disable your additional connection.

Let's consider in detail the example of the Standard plan.

The Standard plan includes 4 connections.

What does it mean?

This means that you can give four access for different accounts of the same app free of charge. For example, if you want to connect your Telegram, TG client, another client, and another client, the total of 4 connections is available for free.

Now there are more than 500 apps on the platform, so on the Standard plan you can connect 4 accounts for each app.

What connections are available

You may see different options for connecting a third-party app to Albato.
This can be an OAuth, when you have to follow the offer to provide access. Here it is important not to change passwords of partner accounts, otherwise the connection may stop responding and you will get an error in the automations.
There are also cases when you need to copy a token or a secret key from a third-party application and paste it into the Albato connection fields.
There are also opposite cases when Albato generates a link (webhook URL) and this link needs to be added to a third-party app in order to receive data from it.

We try to provide information on connecting partners to Albato with an example of integration. Unfortunately, the rare apps get these instructions later than others.

Instructions on how to connect apps can be found in the Blog.

How do I create a connection?

Click the "Add a connection" button.

A list of applications will open, select the one you need and follow the instructions.

Each connection has two system buttons - Update and Test.

The "Update" button is necessary if you have made changes in your partner account, and you would like Albato to know about these changes. For example, you have added/deleted statuses for deals in CRM, added/deleted lead forms, etc.

The "Test" button will help you understand if Albato has established a connection with your app. If there is an error, you can correct the existing connection instead of creating a new one.
